The OrganisationNigel Wright Group has been appointed to support a well established Public Sector organisation with the appointment of an interim Head of Procurement.  The position has become available due to the impending departure of the incumbent.  There is a 3-6 month interim requirement, until the permanent recruitment process is concluded.  The opportunity would suit an MCIPS qualified candidate with Head of/Management level experience from within the Public Sector, with a proven track record in managing a breadth of procurement activity to ideally include Capex, construction and/or engineering.The RoleThe interim Head of Procurement will manage and mentor a small team, expanding upon the current plan for the forthcoming Procurement Act to ensure that the Procurement Team/wider stakeholders are fully prepared.
