Stakeholder Manager

Location - Newcastle Upon Tyne, Sunderland, Durham, Hull, Leeds, Bradford, York, Sheffield, Barnsley, Manchester, Nottingham, Liverpool, Derby, Stafford, Blackburn, Oldham, Doncaster

Salary - £55,000 to £65,000 Basic (depending on related experience) plus car allowance and 10% company bonus

The Role

We are seeking a confident and persuasive Senior Public Affairs Manager to help educate and explain the benefits of renewable energy projects to the local communities and business from a social, economic and environmental basis. You will travel across the North of England and will possibly be managing 2 or 3 projects at any one time. You will be meeting with a variety of community stakeholders, be these community groups, local councillors, MPs, local councils, local businesses and influencing opinion via community group meetings, open days and community surveys. You will also work closely with project management teams on planning proposals and work closely with the marketing teams on producing news releases, social media content and brochures, images and video content in relation to the projects.

The Person

It is highly likely that you will have held a role in public affairs or public liaison, or community engagement, community relations, or in a corporate communications capacity. We will also consider exceptional relationship managers from a sales background and will also consider those in commercial roles with experience as a councillor or with close-hand experience of local government and policy making. You will be a confident communicator and happy to meet with individuals and groups of people to influence opinion and communicate messages in a persuasive yet politically agnostic manner. You will be confident in presenting and talking to key stakeholders from all walks of life. Travel across the North of England is likely to be regular.
