This opportunity offers an individual the opportunity to come in and be a part of successful team, within a growing company, and to work alongside a Finance Manager who prides herself on supporting upcoming finance professionals with their career development.

As the Accounts Assistant, you will take responsibility for:

  • Processing numerous financial transactions
  • Posting payments/receipts and transfers in a timely and accurate manner
  • Setting up Cheques, BACS and TT payments on online banking platforms
  • Cash allocation to individual customer accounts
  • Ensuring all account payments are compliant with company policy
  • Dealing with internal department queries and helping to resolve
  • Ensuring compliance with the individual customer rules
  • Assisting with bank reconciliations as required
  • Completing ad hoc duties
  • Supporting the wider finance team with ad hoc duties

What you will need to succeed:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build working relationships
  • Ability to work under pressure and to meet deadlines
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Demonstrate Microsoft/Excel skills
  • Knowledge of transactional finance and the month end process
  • Good organisational/time management skills
  • Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a busy, fast paced team proactively assisting colleagues in their roles as well as completing own tasks
