The Role of the Analytical Scientist:

  • You will be site based and will be responsible for the testing, service, and build of bespoke scientific and laboratory equipment.
  • Utilising your previous experience and ongoing training, you will be ensuring that systems are correctly working.
    • Testing electronic and mechanical systems, as well as magnets and ion sources
    • Wiring and assembling instruments
    • Acceptance testing before shipping to customers across the world
  • Working as part of an experienced team you will be supported and will become a valued member of the company.
  • Site based in Newcastle-under-Lyme
  • Mon - Fri role, 40 hours per week

The Candidate for the Analytical Scientist:

  • Experience using Mass-Spectrometry or related analytical instrumentation
  • An interest in engineering and electronics
  • Wanting to build a career in an engineering discipline
  • Strong eye for detail, great practical, technical & problem-solving ability
  • Able to commute daily to Newcastle-under-Lyme
  • Right to work in the UK without restrictions, sponsorship will not be provided

The Package for the Analytical Scientist:

  • £28,000 - £35,000 basic salary, depending on experience
