Examinations Co-ordinator

Newcastle and Stafford Colleges Group (NSCG) is one of the very best colleges in the country. In October 2024 we became the first and only further education provider in England to achieve a full set of outstanding grades in consecutive Ofsted Inspections. This includes recognition of our strong contribution towards meeting Local Skills Needs under the latest version of the Education Inspection Framework (EIF).

The group is currently home to a population of over 6,500 full-time students with around 2000 adult learners and students on higher education programmes. We have over 1,500 apprentices where we work with over 850 individual employers.

We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and suitably qualified individual to provide assistance with exam administration. This is a challenging role that will require excellent organisational and communication skills. The role will also involve liaison with Examination Boards, other staff, candidates and invigilators and assisting in the organisation of all College examinations.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

? To undertake all areas of examination administration.
? To develop an understanding of the College Exams System (ProSolution) in the administration and production of Exam files to be sent and received from Awarding Bodies.
? To communicate with various Examination Boards, staff, candidates and invigilators.
? To organise detailed arrangements for students to sit their exams. These will include invigilation, rooming, timetables, access arrangements and clashes.

Required Skills and Experience:

? The ability to work under the pressure of deadlines, whilst maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
? Excellent communication skills with a good telephone manner
? The flexibility to provide cover for peak periods, including some unsocial hours (early morning and evening cover) where appropriate
? Previous experience of information systems used within an educational setting and has experience of examination administration (Desirable)
