THE ROLE
Powder coating a range of metal components, doors and frames to a high standard to meet customer specifications, quality and production targets. Carry out all Powder Coating activities with a strong focus on workplace health and safety.

KEY TASKS
  • Powder coating of products with close attention to correct colour and thickness.
  • Work to agreed output targets and deadlines.
  • Visually and mechanically check finished items for flaws and proper coverage and refinish and touch up as required.
  • Help ensure that all outputs are Right First Time.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and tidy working environment.
  • Clean down electrostatic spray guns.
  • Report faults to the Powder Coating Team Leader, Supervisor and Maintenance Team.
  • Liaise with other team leaders on the shift.
  • Practice problem solving and troubleshooting techniques as part of a team responsible for realising continuous improvement to products and processes.
  • Support the Senior Management Team.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE
  • Powder Coating experience.
  • Ability to follow Powder Coating Procedures.
  • Team-player with the ability to communicate effectively.
  • Self-motivated.
  • Can do attitude.
  • Reliable and punctual.
  • Ability to continuously learn.
  • Act in accordance with all HSE needs.
  • Basic competency to learn and complete Mechanical assembly activities.
  • Ability to converse effectively with the team around the daily production needs.
