STOCK CONTROLLER / NEWCASTLE UNDER LYME / UP TO £28K + BENEFITS

Are you an experienced Stock Controller, looking for an exciting new challenge? If so, we have a brand new opening that could be the perfect fit.

Broxap is a family owned engineering business based in Newcastle under Lyme, Staffordshire, established in 1946.  We are amongst the market leaders in the design and manufacture of street furniture, shelters, covered walkways, and playground equipment.  

As we continue to expand our operations, we are looking to add a Stock Controller to our established team. You will play a pivotal role in supporting the Materials Manager.

What’s on Offer?

  • Salary up to £28,000 per annum (depending on experience).
  • Working hours, Monday to Friday 8:00am – 4:30pm.
  • 25 days holiday entitlement plus 8 bank holidays.

Key Responsibilities of the Stock Controller:

  • Accurate stock control, assisting with stock counts, maintaining the ERP computer system and making adjustments when necessary.
  • Ensuring stock is stored in the correct locations “A place for everything and everything in its place”
  • Perpetual stock counts on fast moving parts
  • Receiving goods into the business and ensuring items are delivered to the correct locations.
  • Picking of parts against pick lists.

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Previous experience in similar stock control / logistics role.
  • Fork Lift truck licence.
  • Familiarity with the principles of lean manufacturing/5S.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Bank yardsman awareness
