Assistant Operations Manager, Permanent, Newcastle Under Lyme, £40,000

We are currently recruiting on behalf of an exceedingly reputable organisation in the heart of Newcastle Under Lyme. Due to internal movement and increased business success, they require an Assistant Operation Manager to join their small team, with 5 direct reports. Reporting into the Operations Manager, daily duties will include

  • Overseeing all business operations such quality control, obtaining licensees and health & safety monitoring
  • Line management of 5 staff members, across Customer Service, Purchasing and Warehouse
  • Champion a continuous improvement culture within the office, to improve quality, efficiencies and reduce costs.
  • Ensure that efficient and effective operations processes are in place to effectively manage/reduce risk across all departments
  • Ensure effective working relationships are established and maintained
  • Ensure information on all relevant operational matters are readily available to relevant parties
  • Provide reports for presentation at Management meetings, regarding company performance and compliance
  • Manage the development and performance of staff
  • Overseeing appointment of new staff, induction, training, mentoring and performance monitoring

Previous experience of IS09001 is ideally required alongside, previous team management experience. Data analysis ability and attention to details is also key. The ideal candidate will also be able to demonstrate effective leadership and management experience and the ability to monitor contracts with external suppliers and ensure KPIs are achieved. The company offer 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays, free onsite parking, and pension. Working hours are either 9am-5pm or 8am-4pm with a 30-minutes lunch break.
