We are recruiting for a Welder/Fabricator to join our customers based in Newcastle Under Lyme, who are a dedicated team of of product specialists and engineers covering everything from general equipment hire to special project requirements.
Hours and Pay for a Welder/Fabricator
5 Days a week
Monday - Friday
8:00am - 5:00pm
£14 - £15 per hour dependent on experience
Temp to Perm
Key Responsibilities for a Welder/Fabricator
- Welding on heavy duty 40mm steel
- Handle and position metal components or assemblies to be welded, ensuring proper alignment and fit-up according to welding specifications.
- Perform MIG welding operations to join metal parts or structures together, using a handheld welding gun to deposit molten filler metal along the joint while maintaining a stable arc.
- Monitor weld quality during the welding process, inspecting weld beads for proper fusion, penetration, and appearance.
- Make adjustments to welding parameters as needed to achieve desired results.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures while performing welding.
Skills for a Welder/Fabricator
- Attention to detail.
- Previous experience welding to 40mm thickness
- Strong emphasis on workplace safety
