Dovetail and Slate are recruiting on behalf of a leading education provider based in Newham.
Role Purpose
- Ensure a safe environment for students, staff, and visitors.
- Be a point of contact for student behaviour concerns and incidents.
- Support students in maintaining positive behaviour and engagement.
Main Duties
- Provide support while monitoring student behaviour.
- Maintain a positive and safe atmosphere.
- Assist with investigations and prepare accurate reports.
- Participate in meetings and safeguarding discussions to address concerns.
- Engage with students needing additional support and refer them to the right services.
- Work with parents, welfare teams, and external agencies to provide student support.
- Help improve student attendance by working with teachers and managers.
- Be an active part of the safeguarding team, ensuring student safety.
Requirements
- Experience in coaching, mentoring, or youth work
- Strong communication and conflict resolution skills.
- Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.
- Experience in handling behaviour management and safeguarding procedures.
- Able to start quickly
- Enhanced DBS
- Right to work in the UK
