MacKenzie King are excited to be recruiting a part time Bookkeeper (8-15hours per week), to join our client based in Newmarket until next summer. As a Bookkeeper you will take ownership of the entire accounting function and be able to work autonomously to ensure the function runs smoothly. 

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Maintenance of all farming and estate accounts for year end
  • Process monthly and quarterly VAT returns
  • Manage all bank accounts 
  • Credit control
  • Preparation of accounts to coincide with management meetings
  • Collate and process payroll 
  • Work closely with the wider team

Key Skills & Attributes:

  • Strong IT skills, with Xero experience being advantageous
  • A knowledge of farm accounting would be advantageous
  • High efficiency, organisational, and time management skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Flexible ‘can do’ attitude 
  • Self-motivated and able to use own initiative
