Maintenance Multiskilled Engineer
  • Annual Salary: £40,000, increasing to £43,000 after 6 months
  • Location: Newmarket, Suffolk (with occasional work in Northampton and Peterborough)
  • Job Type: Full-time

We're looking for a Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer. You’ll maintain and repair machinery and facilities, ensuring smooth production. Work with operators and the maintenance team to keep assets in top condition. 

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance and repairs to minimise downtime and maximise uptime.
  • Engage in hands-on maintenance tasks including repairs, preventative maintenance, fitting, assembly, welding, and sheet metalwork.
  • Respond to reactive maintenance needs, attending to breakdowns and unplanned stoppages.
  • Handle various building maintenance tasks as needed.
  • Work under the guidance of the Maintenance Manager and Facilities Director to fit parts, fault find and offer solutions to problems while adhering to the company’s preventative maintenance schedule.
  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping and follow all health and safety guidelines.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Electrical Maintenance Engineer qualification.
  • Electrical Installations (18th Edition) qualification is advantageous.
  • Experience with networked PC systems and 3-phase power supplies.
  • Strong fitting and assembly skills, including the use of hand tools.
  • Proficiency in welding, fabrication, brazing, soldering, and other jointing processes.
