Document Controller - Tier 1 Construction

We are looking for an experienced Document Controller with a strong background in Tier 1 construction to join a leading FTSE-listed construction company. This role is ideal for someone who understands the fast-paced demands of large-scale construction projects and can effectively manage project documentation, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and accessibility.

Contract: Temporary, ongoing

PayRate: £180 -£200 per day PAYE

Hours: Full Time

Location: CB8

About the Role

As a Document Controller, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth flow of project documentation on complex, high-value construction projects. Working closely with project managers, engineers, and external stakeholders, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Overseeing the receipt, distribution, and storage of project documents, drawings, contracts, and reports.
  • Maintaining and updating document control systems (both physical and electronic) for easy access and retrieval.
  • Ensuring compliance with industry regulations and client requirements, verifying document accuracy.
  • Liaising with internal teams and external contractors to coordinate the submission and approval of project documentation.
  • Conducting regular audits to ensure all documents are complete, up-to-date, and correctly stored.
  • Preparing and distributing meeting minutes, project reports, and documentation.
  • Managing document approval workflows and tracking document status to prevent delays.
Doument Controller Will Have:
  • Experience as a Document Controller in a Tier 1 construction or engineering environment.
  • Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks within tight deadlines.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with multiple teams and external partners.
  • Experience in document tracking, audits, and reporting.
