Summary:

As a Business Development Manager at Utility People, you will play a key role in driving growth within our Energy Recruitment division. Your responsibilities will include identifying new business opportunities, building strong client relationships and expanding our presence within the Energy sector. You will be pivotal in establishing new client connections and strengthening Utility People's reputation as a trusted partner in Energy recruitment.

Key responsibilities:

  • Identifying potential clients and business opportunities to drive company growth
  • Generating leads and securing new business opportunities
  • Understanding client hiring needs and offering tailored recruitment solutions
  • Negotiating contracts and terms to maximise revenue and business success
  • Collaborating closely with internal teams to ensure smooth service delivery and client satisfaction
  • Attending industry events and conferences to promote our services and strengthen our brand presence
  • Providing continuous support and clear communication to both candidates and clients throughout the recruitment process
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of candidate interactions, job specifications, and client communications using our internal systems

Skills and Experience required:

  • Proven experience in business development or sales, preferably within the Energy, Recruitment, or related sectors
  • Track record of identifying and securing new business opportunities
  • Skilled in building and maintaining long-term client relationships
  • Familiar with the recruitment process and client hiring needs
  • Successful in negotiating contracts and closing deals
  • Collaborative team player focused on delivering exceptional service
  • Experience networking at industry events and conferences
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks

Role: Business Development Manager (Recruitment Energy/Utilities)

Location: Remote - typically one day per week in our Newport Pagnell office/some UK travel

Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 DOE + bonus + benefits
