Robert Half Talent Solutions are seeking a Group Financial Accountant for a highly acquisitive Newport based Plc.
As Group Financial Accountant you will work as part of a valued and high performing finance team and will gain extensive technical and commercial exposure.
The Group Financial Accountant will be a critical part of the next few years growth and will be involved with preparing financial statements and working closely with the wider finance team to provide accurate financial information. You will support the annual audit and help to drive process improvements to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of the financial reporting processes.
Duties as Group Financial Accountant will include:
- Responsible for the monthly Group reporting pack, providing technical compliance at the top level.
- Monthly reporting of key accounting areas across the group, including IFRS9 and IFRS15
- Support group month end reporting (group balance sheet and cashflows)
- Preparation of annual statutory financial statements for subsidiaries across the group
- Support the audit of subsidiary financial statements, acting as a key point of contact for external auditors
- Regular assessment of key accounting judgements including the preparation of papers for Audit Committee
- Preparation of consolidation journals for review by the Group FR Manager
- Maintain strong financial controls and processes throughout the reporting pack across all the business' in the Group.
- Key contact for the with the yearly Group audit and liaise with external partners.
- Build rapport across the business to provide tighter accountability and robust controls.
- Assist with further acquisitions and company integrations.

Salary £50,000 - £65,0000, hybrid, flexible working and a generous benefits package
