About the Role:

Our client is looking for a dynamic Water Design Manager to lead a multi-disciplinary team in delivering a clean water programme. Reporting to the Design Manager, you will work closely with technical discipline leads and the client leadership team to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of technical excellence. This role offers the opportunity to shape future-proofed services, embrace innovation in digital technology, and mentor the next generation of industry talent.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a multi-disciplinary team to deliver the clean water programme.
  • Ensure projects meet key milestones, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Work closely with internal teams and client leadership in a collaborative environment.
  • Support bids, fee proposals, and service offers.
  • Oversee technical deliverables, calculations, and reports.
  • Drive innovation and sustainability within project solutions.


What Our Client is Looking For:

Essential:

  • Chartered Engineer (CEng) with a recognised professional institution.
  • Strong technical leadership experience in the UK water sector.
  • Proven track record in feasibility and outline design solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively.
  • A passion for client engagement and relationship management.

Desirable:

  • Experience in team building and mentoring junior staff.
  • Knowledge of water sector treatment and sustainability challenges.
  • Strong technical report writing skills.
