Job Purpose
  • Manage a significant portfolio of personal tax clients, monitoring the commercial aspects of portfolio management
  • Oversee the provision of personal tax advice across the team
  • Oversee complex tax planning, ensuring compliance and quality service at every step
  • Mentor junior staff by reviewing work and providing constructive mentorship
  • Monitor team performance, identifying knowledge gaps and providing training as needed
  • Work directly with Directors and Partners to ensure deadlines and fee recovery targets are met
  • Build trusted client relationships, proactively handling queries and problem solving
  • Keep up-to-date with tax knowledge, championing knowledge sharing across the team

The Successful Applicant
  • CTA / ATT qualified or part qualified
  • Qualified by experience also considered
  • A strong background working in a personal tax role within practice
  • Proven people management experience, with a track record of mentoring junior staff
  • Excellent knowledge of tax compliance processes, issues, and regulations
  • Self-motivated, reliable and eager to progress
  • Confident in reviewing processes and improving systems to boost efficiency
  • Strong communication skills are essential, both verbal and written
  • Commercial business acumen
