Network Support Engineer – Hybrid/ Newport £29,000 - £32,000
We're partnered with a multi-award-winning Welsh organization that is hiring a Network Engineer to join their infrastructure team. The Network Engineer will be supporting over 10,000 users and over 180 services across over 100 sites. The industry that the organization specializes in is forecasted to expand substantially over the following 5 years.
The Network Engineer will have the flexibility to work from home and from the Newport office.
The position will be a 12-months fixed term contract (FTC) and has potential to become a permanent role.
Key responsibilities of the Network Engineer are:
- Support th maintenance of networking and security systems, including installation, testing, commissioning, and replacement.
- Candidate's knowledge of network and security are supported by theoretical understanding and acquired training.
- Support colleagues with arising issues daily
- Work across the virtual team within the IT operations sector
Key attributes of the Network Engineer are:
- 2+ years' experience in network support capacity
- Strong expertise in networking technologies (Routers & Switches, Security, Wifi and Data)
- Experience with network monitoring tools
- Great communication skills.
- Qualified in at least one of the below: CCNA (R&S), CCNA (WIFUND), CCNA (Security), CWTS/CWNA/CWNP, ACWA/ AWCWP, ITIL V3 Foundation or related degree.
