WAREHOUSE MANAGER    
TORFAEN
6 MONTH CONTRACT - FULL TIME
SALARY NEGOTIABLE DEPENDING ON EXPERERIENCE

Job role:
•    As the Warehouse Manager, you will play a critical role in overseeing warehouse operations, including receiving raw materials, shipments of products, storing and managing inventory and dispatching goods to customers and end-users. 
•    Develop warehouse operations systems by determining product handling and storage requirements, equipment utilisation and inventory. Making improvements to storage and organising new storage solutions. 
•    Train and manage the warehouse team to solve day-to-day operational issues and reach short- and long-term performance goals. 
•    Oversee daily operations while controlling and managing inventory and logistics.
•    Check orders after picking for accuracy advising warehouse staff of any errors to minimise future discrepancies.
•    Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by establishing and enforcing H&S standards and procedures and by complying with legal regulations.

Essential skills and qualifications:
•    Five or more years of experience in warehouse management
•    Experience in a food manufacturing or food warehousing environment 
•    Strong people management skills 
•    Excellent problem-solving skills & able to think outside the box
•    A strong understanding of Health & Safety in a Food based environment 
•    Able to implement and follow policy and advise all stakeholders of issues by delivering effective feedback. 
•    Excellent leadership skills with a focus on team development and performance improvement.
•    IT and Microsoft office package skills
