We are seeking a Band 6 Locum Occupational Therapist to join a dedicated team in an acute hospital setting in Newport. This role focuses on supporting patients in a winter pressure ward, where you will play a crucial role in patient recovery, discharge planning, and maintaining patient flow during the busy winter period.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide specialist occupational therapy assessment and intervention for patients in the acute setting.
- Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to support timely discharges and prevent hospital readmission.
- Implement rehabilitation strategies to enhance patient independence and functional outcomes.
- Contribute to service development and assist in managing the increased demand during winter pressures.
?? HCPC registered Occupational Therapist?? Previous experience working in an acute hospital setting (desirable)?? Strong discharge planning and rehab skills?? Ability to work independently and within a team?? Flexible and adaptable approach
