Role Summary:

The Assistant Practitioner will work as part of a multidisciplinary team, supporting both Occupational Therapy (OT) and Physiotherapy services. The role involves delivering delegated therapeutic interventions under the supervision of registered therapists, facilitating patient recovery, and promoting independence in daily activities.

Key Responsibilities:Patient Care:

  • Support the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of therapeutic interventions for individuals and groups.
  • Deliver therapy sessions as prescribed by OT/Physio staff, including mobility exercises, activities of daily living (ADL) training, and functional rehabilitation.
  • Assist patients with exercises, posture management, and adaptive techniques to enhance mobility and independence.
  • Provide basic education to patients and caregivers on therapy techniques, equipment use, and safety protocols.
