About the Role:
As a Health and Social Care Teacher, you will be responsible for developing and delivering engaging lessons that encompass a variety of topics within the subject. You will assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and adapt your teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning needs. Collaboration with colleagues will be essential to enhance the curriculum and foster a supportive, engaging learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver dynamic lessons in Health and Social Care across key stages.
- Monitor, assess, and document student progress, offering tailored feedback to support individual learning.
- Cultivate an engaging and inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages student participation and achievement.
- Stay informed on curriculum developments and utilize a range of teaching strategies to cater to various learning styles.
- Contribute to the broader school community by participating in departmental meetings and extracurricular activities.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and experience in teaching Health and Social Care.
- Strong understanding of the Health and Social Care curriculum along with relevant qualifications.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and inspire students.
- Strong organisational abilities and a commitment to upholding high teaching standards.
- A passion for supporting students in their academic and vocational development.
