Job Description:
Hoop Education is seeking a motivated and adaptable Sports Coach Cover Supervisor to join schools across Newport. This role is perfect for someone passionate about sports and education, keen to inspire young learners while developing valuable classroom experience.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver pre-planned lessons in the absence of class teachers, ensuring a positive and productive learning environment
- Lead and engage students in physical education activities, fostering teamwork and resilience
- Manage classroom behavior in line with school policies
- Support teachers during PE lessons and school sports events
- Maintain accurate records of attendance and incidents
- Inspire students to develop a love for sports and healthy competition
Requirements:
- Experience in coaching or working with children in a sports setting
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Ability to maintain discipline and create an engaging learning environment
- Passion for sports and education
- Proactive, flexible, and well-organized approach
- Relevant coaching qualifications (desirable)
- Enhanced DBS clearance or willingness to obtain one
- EWC registration required
