DK Recruitment is partnering with a market leading company in their search for a skilled Financial Controller to join the team, in beautiful Cornwall. This role is key to driving financial performance and providing strategic financial leadership within our dynamic organisation.Key Responsibilities:As the Financial Controller, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the financial health and efficiency of the company. Your primary responsibilities will include:
  • Overseeing day-to-day financial activities, including budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and expense monitoring.
  • Preparing and presenting accurate, timely financial statements and reports to senior management, enabling informed decision-making.
  • Conducting in-depth financial analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and potential risks, providing recommendations for cost-saving and revenue-generating strategies.
  • Leading the accounting team in maintaining general ledgers, reconciliations, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Developing and managing annual budgets and long-term financial forecasts in alignment with company goals.
  • Ensuring adherence to financial regulations and policies, preparing for audits, and coordinating with external auditors as necessary.
  • Identifying and implementing financial process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Qualifications:
  • ACCA/ACA/CIMA or equivalent certification is required, ensuring a high standard of financial knowledge and ethics.
  • Demonstrated experience in finance and accounting, with strong financial statement preparation and reporting skills.
  • Proven ability to analyse complex financial data, identify key insights, and provide actionable recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Prior experience in the hospitality industry is highly desirable, as familiarity with its unique financial operations will be beneficial.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail are essential for managing financial records and ensuring accuracy in reporting.
  • Strong team leadership and communication skills to guide the accounting team and collaborate with cross-functional departments.
