Band 4 Financial Assessment Officer
Brook Street are seeking a dedicated Financial Assessment Officer to join our team at the Financial Assessments Department Daisy Hill Hospital, Newry, This is a temporary, ongoing position
Location: Daisy Hill Hospital, Newry.
Salary: 12.86 per hour (paid weekly)
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday - Friday, 9 AM - 5 PM
The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supervising a team and ensuring the effective delivery of financial assessments. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where you will be responsible for interpreting legislation, managing client contributions, and supporting the Team Manager in various administrative tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise daily operations of the Financial Assessments team.
- Interpret and implement relevant legislation and guidance for financial assessments.
- Assist in the management and recovery of debts owed to the Trust.
- Ensure the security of cash, cheques, personal data, and other sensitive documents.
- Address all correspondence and queries promptly according to departmental policies.
- Maintain knowledge of financial assessment systems and support system administration duties.
Qualifications:
- Option 1: 2 A Levels at grade C or above and at least 1 year of experience in a finance environment at Band 3 or higher (or equivalent).
- Option 2: 5 GCSEs or equivalent at Grade C or higher, including English and Maths, with at least 2 years of experience in a finance environment at Band 3 or higher.
