Our esteemed client, a leading accountancy practice, is seeking a highly skilled Payroll Clerk to join their progressive team on a full-time, permanent basis. Part-time hours may be considered for the right candidate.
This multifaceted role offers an exciting opportunity for a detail-oriented professional to manage the practice's payroll function while supporting business growth. The successful candidate will also provide essential bookkeeping services, contributing to the firm's comprehensive financial offerings.

The responsibilities:
- Execute weekly, monthly, and annual payrolls, including Pension Auto Enrolment, and submit data to HMRC.
- Establish new payroll clients and drive departmental growth.
- Prepare quarterly payroll invoices.
- Manage HMRC payroll correspondence.
- Perform client bookkeeping tasks as required.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, ethical standards, and regulatory requirements, including anti-money laundering procedures.
The candidate:
- Proven track record in a practice-based payroll role.
- Proficiency in bookkeeping principles and practices.
- Expertise in Sage payroll software, accounting applications, and Microsoft Office suite.
- Exceptional communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.
- Strong technical aptitude and capacity to manage multiple priorities efficiently.
