About the Communities and Compliance Manager role

Managing a team of Community Housing Officers, you will ensure the provision of outstanding service to our customers, including those using our Gypsy and Traveller site. Your remit will span everything from compliance with tenancy conditions (including fire risks, gas and electrical testing, asbestos and heat pumps) to domestic abuse, noise nuisance, safeguarding issues and antisocial behaviour, and you will go the extra mile to keep our communities stable and harmonious. In particular, you will forge productive partnerships with external agencies and will personally oversee a complex caseload whilst representing the organisation in court whenever required. Above all, you will actively develop effective policies and practices whilst getting the most from every member of your team so our residents can make the most of their lives.

This is a full-time, permanent role.

About you

Your career in social housing management should have given you deep understanding of risk assessment, tenancy issues and antisocial behaviour, and you will be adept at overseeing both budgets and people. Making presentations at board level should be second nature to you, as should setting and achieving stretching targets, and you will ideally be familiar with implementing far-reaching programmes of change. Most importantly, you will be passionate about combating risks and enhancing the customer experience and you will be ready to do whatever it takes to make a measurable difference every day.
