We want to give our new residents the best possible start.
Could you be the key to unlock their full potential?
At Teign Housing, were passionate about giving our residents the best possible homes and our team the best and most flexible careers. Our culture of agile working means our 90 people enjoy an exceptional work-life balance, with the option of spending much of their time based at home. We believe giving you choice over when, where and how you work will improve both your wellbeing and your performance creating a win-win situation for you, for us and for the thousands of people who rely on us.
You will be crucial to helping our residents maintain their tenancies as you identify the levels of support they need and provide comprehensive coaching, goal planning, advice and information, referrals and signposting. In short, you will work alongside external agencies to help them make the right choices in life, spanning budgeting, money management, accessing financial products, digital literacy, health, homemaking and more. Whether youre setting up payments for utilities, soliciting debt advice, drafting grant applications or delivering employment and skills support, we will look to you to take a holistic approach to everything you do, so you will require exceptional empathy and real passion for making a difference.
Experienced in social housing or the support sector, you will bring deep knowledge of the benefits system and proven ability to engage with vulnerable people. Naturally, you will be deeply dedicated to inclusion, aware of the challenges facing tenants on low incomes and capable of prioritising your own workload, and you will be a superb negotiator and powerful advocate. A formal qualification in housing support, domestic abuse, money advice, health or social care would be useful, alongside a full driving licence and the ability to work evenings and weekends, but its your drive and determination to change lives that will matter most.
We are an Investor in People Platinum organisation, so you will be joining a company that creates a supportive high-performance culture. You can also expect an excellent benefits package, including 25 days leave plus bank holidays and the Christmas-to-New Year period, pension scheme, private healthcare, free parking, an employee assistance programme and much more.
Working hours are full-time, 37 hours per week.
