I am working with an ambitious and growing business based in Newton Aycliffe, who are looking for an expereinced Financial Controller to join their team and be a pivotal role in financial operations and strategic planning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Reporting & Analysis: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Conduct variance analysis and provide financial insights.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements. Liaise with auditors and maintain internal control procedures.
  • Cash Flow Management: Oversee cash flow, implement cash management strategies, and optimize financial resources.
  • Taxation: Manage tax planning and compliance, coordinating with external advisors as necessary.
  • Team Leadership: Mentor and guide the finance team, fostering collaboration and efficiency.
  • Strategic Planning: Contribute to organizational financial strategies, supporting senior management with financial insights for decision-making.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements in financial management.

Skills and Experience:

  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years in financial management.
  • Technical Proficiency: Strong knowledge of accounting principles, tax regulations, and financial reporting standards. Advanced skills in financial software.
  • Leadership: Effective team management and mentoring capabilities.
  • Communication: Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to convey complex financial information clearly.

Offering a generous salary.

Working hours - 8.30am to 5pm, and 12.30pm on a Friday.
