Material Controller – Newton Aycliffe - £35,500
The Company
Due to an expanding order book, a global rail leader of turnkey solutions, rail transportation and technology within the Rolling Stock sector, has an essential requirement for an influx of Material Controllers to join the team.
You will be involved with one of the industry’s most exciting lie project, allowing you to have large scale impacts. The role will be very well varied and require close collaboration, but ultimately , your involvement will be the backbone and the foundations to a timely delivery of a £500m project!
The Role
The Materials Controller(s) will look after order placement, expediting and reverse logistics of all allocated section(s). The team have a highly sophisticated system in place that incorporates PowerBI dashboards & tables to create a friendly interface for high volumes of complex data and information; in turn, this also requires a high degree of cross collaboration between multiple teams. Utilizing SAP, a Materials Controller is responsible for timely and accurate delivery of all parts. As client expectations and demands are likely to change as the project progresses, we need someone who can work in a fast paced and (at times) challenging and fast paced environment.
The Candidate:
- Good experience with MRP systems (Ideally SAP)
- Experience in a Materials Controller role or Scheduling experience
- Strong work ethic and able to work independently and proactively
- Ability to handle pressure working in a fast paced environment
- Ideally from a Manufacturing environment.
Location
Newton Aycliffe, County Durham, mainly onsite.
