About the company

You will be joining an established company during an exciting period of transformation. Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will be part of a dynamic finance team driving change and control across the business. Career development opportunities will be provided in due course, but more importantly, you will enhance your skills and experience in finance with a leading local company.

So, what's in it for you?

You'll be confident in assisting with the preparation of general ledger reconciliation, maintaining accurate financial records, balance sheet reconciliations, and assisting with VAT returns. If you don't have full experience in all of these areas, don't worry-you can assist and learn. Along with processing purchase invoices, raising sales invoices, and dealing with any discrepancies you may find

Do you thrive in an office environment where you can engage with colleagues and exchange ideas? This role is entirely office-based, but it offers flexibility in start and finish times, allowing you to accommodate personal commitments such as the school run or early morning fitness classes.

You'll be entitled to 25 days of holiday, plus statutory bank holidays, a private healthcare scheme, and study support. You'll be supported by senior members of the finance team who are happy to train you, but they will also listen and welcome ideas from you that may have been successful in the past.

About you…

You're a problem solver, enjoy transactional processing, possess strong analytical skills and have the ability to work accurately under pressure. You will have a minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role and ideally be studying towards AAT or an equivalent qualification. If you're qualified by experience, that's fine too. Above all, you are driven, ambitious and have the desire to develop and progress.
