HGV Class 2 Driver

The Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting on behalf of our well known and industry-leading client based in the Newton area. We are looking for multiple HGV Class 2 Drivers (CAT C) to join the team.

Hours:Monday to Friday (Ocassional Saturday available)

Start time either 7am or 8am (12 hour shifts max)

Pay Rate:£14.00 per hour PAYE

Location:Newton (SY16)

Job Type: Ongoing with the potential of perm for the right candidate

The role:

Safely distributing palletised parcels to commercial properties and businesses (some home deliveries and customer deliveries or collections)

. No handballing required as home deliveries will have tail lift/pump truck and customer deliveries/collections are done with forklift.

Emphasising safe driving practices and ensuring precise documentation.

Typically completing up to 8 deliveries/collections

Engaging with customers while upholding a professional and polite image on behalf of the company.

Requirements:

.New passes welcome to apply as training can be provided.

Full UK driving licence with Class 2 entitlement (category C).

Valid and in date DCPC and Digital Tachograph card.

No more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only).

Full understanding of WTD legislation.

Be prepared to undertake a short driving assessment for the position.

Excellent communication skills.
