Sports Coach/PE Cover Supervisor

Job Summary: We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Sports Coach / PE Cover Supervisor to join our vibrant team. The successful candidate will be passionate about physical education and inspiring students to achieve their full potential in sports and fitness. This role involves coaching various sports, supervising PE classes, and covering for absent teachers when required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and support students during PE classes, ensuring a safe and inclusive environment.

  • Cover for absent PE teachers and deliver pre-prepared lesson plans.

  • Encourage student participation and foster a love for sports and physical activity.

  • Monitor and evaluate student progress and provide constructive feedback.

  • Maintain equipment and facilities, ensuring they are safe and fit for use.

  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and enhance the school's sports programs.

  • Participate in school events, competitions, and extracurricular activities as required.

Requirements:

  • Relevant coaching qualifications or a degree in Sports Science, Physical Education, or a related field.

  • Experience in coaching and/or teaching sports to young people.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to motivate and inspire students of all abilities.

  • Commitment to promoting a healthy and active lifestyle.

  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations in sports and physical education.

  • Flexibility and adaptability to cover various sports and activities.

Desirable:

  • First Aid certification.

  • Experience in organizing and leading extracurricular sports activities.

  • Knowledge of inclusive practices to support students with diverse needs.
