As Chef Manager, you'll lead our kitchen & front of house team while crafting delicious dishes that are family-friendly & exciting. You'll have the creative freedom to develop new menus and themed offerings that complement our seasonal events.
Chef Manager - Family Farm Café - Salary: £27,300 - £30,030 per annum - 37.5 hours per week - Permanent - Family friendly hours with 1 weekend day off per week
This role would ideally suit an experienced senior Chef or Chef Manager who is looking to take ownership and lead an operation as if it were their own, with the drive to deliver great service, develop and coach a dedicated team whilst seeking to grow and enhance what we do.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and inspire the kitchen & front of house team
- Manage daily operations, including ordering and stock control
- Maintain food safety and hygiene standards
- Develop new menu concepts
- Oversee team scheduling and training
- Ensure consistent food quality and service standards
- Achieve agreed profit margins and minimise wastage by maintaining strict stock control and liaising with suppliers.
- Drive cafe performance through effective promotions and menu development.

Essential Requirements
- Minimum one year's relevant experience
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent knowledge of food safety, HACCP, and H&S regulations
- Outstanding communication abilities
- Positive attitude and adaptability
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure
- Available to work on a rota basis, including weekends
Desirable Qualifications
- Two or more years experience in a similar role
- Current Food Hygiene Certificate
- Relevant catering qualifications
