Cammach are currently recruiting for a Welding Engineer for our client in Nigg, North of Scotland. This is a staff position which will be agency for 3 months and then will be permanent.
As a staff position this will not suit contractors and is suited to those within commuting distance.
Applicants must have experience in a busy fabrication setting.

ROLE
The Welding Engineer role will be to assist the technical team with strategic and operational performances to ensure successful delivery of business strategy and objectives. We are seeking a hard-working individual to join our Fabrication Division. The successful individual shall have a professional attitude towards work, be willing to work on their own or as part of a small team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a challenging environment with various diverse projects.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Promote and adhere to Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental policies and procedures.
- Support, continuously improve and communicate welding systems, processes, and policies.
- Qualification of weld procedures in accordance with National/International qualification standards.
- Assist in producing all welding related technical documents.
- Identify and participate in welding process research and development programs.
- Maintain WPS, PQR and Welder Qualification records.
- Provide support to production welding issues when necessary.
- Assist with Technical documentation and Tender reviews.
- Review NDT and project specific procedures.
- Liaise with customer and clients on a regular basis.
REQUIREMENTS
Essential
- Must be able to communicate effectively in written and verbal English.
- Flexible to work at multiple UK based locations when required.
- Good working and professional work ethic.
- Must be able to multi-task in a pressurised environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Preferred
- International Welding Specialist / Technologist or Internation Welding Engineer Qualification
- Degree or HNC in an Engineering related discipline
- Working knowledge of Welding and Fabrication operations.
- Knowledge and understanding of industry standards, procedures and processes.
Hours: 39 Hours per week. However, working flexibility is required.
