Our client is an established food manufacturer, part of a larger global group, with multiple sites worldwide. Due to growth at the site and a recent promotion within the quality management team, they are looking for an experience Quality Manager that has worked within food manufacturing.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Leading a team of X2 quality assistants - workload allocation, signing off on non-conformance reports
- Overseeing the quality & safety of site food products produced, ensuring they meet all standards
- Food safety, quality, legality, authenticity & customer needs are met
- Maintain the company QMS & HACCP systems, ensuring compliance with Global Food Safety Standards
- Contribute to continuous improvement projects, NPD & NPI, product trials
- Manage customer complaint investigations, internal & external audits
- Risk assessments, supplier approval, SAP system maintenance
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
- Must have worked in a similar quality manager role within high-care food manufacturing
- Experience of conducting internal & external customer audits
- Be a strong character, confident in dealing with customers
- Ideally Degree qualified in Food Science
- Food Safety, Hygiene, Quality Control, HACCP qualified
- Highly organised, able to make effective & efficient decisions
- Ideally have worked on NPD & NPI projects
- Knowledge of maintaining Quality Management Systems (QMS)
- Experienced of creating non-conformance reports
