In this key role, you’ll be responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing training programs that enhance employee skills and performance. Working closely with department heads and leadership, you’ll identify training needs, develop effective strategies, and ensure all training aligns with business goals.Your day-to-day responsibilities as a Training Manager will include:

  • Developing and delivering engaging training programs and materials
  • Conducting training needs assessments to identify skills gaps
  • Designing and leading training sessions, workshops, and seminars
  • Evaluating training effectiveness through assessments and feedback
  • Collaborating with department managers to ensure training enhances performance
  • Keeping up to date with industry trends and best practices in learning & development
  • Managing training budgets, resources, and schedules
  • Providing coaching and mentoring to employees
  • Ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations

To be successful in this role, you’ll need:

  • A degree in Human Resources, Education, Business, or a related field
  • Proven experience as a Training Manager or in a similar role, with a manufacturing or logistics background
  • Strong knowledge of training methodologies and adult learning principles
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills
  • The ability to design engaging training programs and materials
  • Proficiency in MS Office and Learning Management Systems (LMS)
  • Strong project management and organisational skills
  • A proactive, analytical mindset with great problem-solving abilities
  • The ability to travel across UK sites
