Industrial Engineering Manager
Salary: £55,000
4 on 4 off days position
Location: Evesham, Worcestershire
Orion Electrotech are working with a leading food manufacturer known for high-quality products. The Industrial Engineering Manager will oversee daily operations, supervise maintenance tasks, implement efficiency improvements, manage the engineering team, and ensure compliance with safety and operational standards.
Industrial Engineering Manager Key Responsibilities:
- Assist management in overseeing daily operations within the department.
- Supervise and participate in the completion of assigned PMs (Planned Maintenance) to meet departmental KPIs.
- Communicate breakdowns and repairs through verbal updates, emails, and detailed Engineering shift reports.
- Perform repairs on mechanical and electrical systems, ensuring timely resolutions.
- Identify and implement improvements to PMs to increase efficiency.
- Collaborate with Engineering Coordinator, Operations, and QA/Technical teams on manufacturing and operational issues.
- Identify and propose efficiency improvements to enhance plant productivity.
- Ensure adherence to company procedures, legislation, and best practices.
- Assign, train, and supervise engineering team members during shifts.
- Manage ADP requests and handle contractor relations for ongoing rental or purchase needs.
- Create and present regular reports to senior management.
Industrial Engineering Manger Knowledge, Competence, Experience, and Qualifications Required:
- Strong communication skills with a solid understanding of FMCG operations.
- Ability to effectively communicate with all departments and provide clear fault rectification descriptions.
- Hands-on experience in supporting engineers with breakdowns and repairs.
- Proven ability to evolve and improve PMs for added value.
- At least 5+ years of experience in FMCG (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods) industry.
- Relevant qualifications such as IOSH, HACCP Level 3, and Food Safety Level 3 (training can be provided).
