Our client are a well-established non profit organisation based in the North East. They are looking for a full time and permanent Finance Manager to join them. The successful candidate will report into the Finance Director, and will work alongside another Finance Manager and a Finance Assistant.
Description
- Oversee all aspects of financial management, including corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, budget and forecasts preparation.
- Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget, financial forecasts and report variances.
- Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.
- Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
- Coordinate the provision of information to external auditors for the annual audit.
- Oversee the company's financial systems and databases, ensuring data integrity and security.
- Provide leadership and support to the accounting team.
Profile
The successful Finance Manager should have:
- Demonstrable experience in a similar Finance Manager role
- Experience working within Housing would be desirable (specifically with housing benefit and rent)
- A solid understanding and experience in accounting and financial management principles.
- Proficiency in using financial software and databases.
- Excellent analytical and strategic planning skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with all levels of employees, management, and external agencies to maximise performance, creativity, problem solving, and results.
