As a Finance Manager you will be responsible for ensuring financial stability and compliance of the organisations housing services, and ultimately providing best value to residents.

Client Details

Our client are a well-established non profit organisation based in the North East. They are looking for a full time and permanent Finance Manager to join them. The successful candidate will report into the Finance Director, and will work alongside another Finance Manager and a Finance Assistant.

Description

  • Oversee all aspects of financial management, including corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, budget and forecasts preparation.
  • Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget, financial forecasts and report variances.
  • Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.
  • Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
  • Coordinate the provision of information to external auditors for the annual audit.
  • Oversee the company's financial systems and databases, ensuring data integrity and security.
  • Provide leadership and support to the accounting team.

Profile

The successful Finance Manager should have:

  • Demonstrable experience in a similar Finance Manager role
  • Experience working within Housing would be desirable (specifically with housing benefit and rent)
  • A solid understanding and experience in accounting and financial management principles.
  • Proficiency in using financial software and databases.
  • Excellent analytical and strategic planning skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with all levels of employees, management, and external agencies to maximise performance, creativity, problem solving, and results.
