Reed Finance are working exclusively with a multifaceted organisation that offer a diverse range of services.  Our client is seeking a senior finance professional to join the company working as a member of the operations team supported by the Chief Operating Officer.  

This newly created position is ideal for an ambitious professional who is keen to grow and develop their skills and become a key part of the team leading finance but also being involved in key decisions in shaping the future of the company.

As the Head of Finance, you will take responsibility for line management, fostering skills development and succession planning to ensure the long-term growth and resilience of the finance team.

You will have the opportunity to be involved in the strategic planning process, gaining further understanding of the operational and commercial aspects of business.

Key duties and skills required:

  • Collaborate closely with the wider team to develop the annual budget and quarterly reforecasts, incorporating scenario planning and stress testing to ensure robust financial strategies.
  • Lead and manage the finance team to ensure high performance and professional development.
  • Manage the cash flow, working capital and liquidity of the business to ensure financial stability.
  • Ensuring accurate and efficient bookkeeping across the business, as well as the timely preparation and delivery of monthly management accounts.
  • Use technology to optimise financial processes and systems to continually improve efficiency and accuracy.
  • Managing the annual audit process, ensuring compliance and a smooth, efficient audit experience.
  • Solid understanding of change management models to guide the team through transitions to new ways of working
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret and act on complex Data
  • This role requires a diverse skill set, ranging from strong bookkeeping capabilities to strategic financial and business leadership.
  • A solid business and financial background, with proven experience in a senior financial leadership role, is essential.
  • Demonstrated success in financial planning, strategy development, and leading high performing teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret and act on complex data.
