Quality Lead / Manager

We are seeking a dedicated Quality Manager to oversee the development, implementation, recording, and monitoring of all quality activities and objectives within our client’s UK Training Business. This role is crucial for ensuring compliance with awarding body standards and best practices across all UK sites.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Implement and manage ISO 9001 requirements across all UK training business sites.
  • Develop and maintain annual audit schedules for all quality activities.
  • Conduct internal quality audits, prepare audit reports, and ensure proper reporting and actioning of findings.
  • Lead external awarding body audits, ensuring all findings, non-conformances, and corrective actions are resolved promptly.
  • Collaborate with operational managers and leads to ensure all standards are followed and appropriate training is provided.
  • Manage feedback, complaints, and non-conformances effectively.
  • Chair quarterly standardisation meetings at each site, ensuring all actions are appropriately allocated and completed.
  • Review and update the monthly legal register and lead bi-annual management reviews with awarding bodies.
  • Conduct monthly site walkarounds to identify and report potential issues.
  • Manage documentation control processes, change processes within the training business, and new course approvals and development.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in a quality management role.
  • Experience working with awarding or certification bodies.
  • Lead ISO 9001 Internal Auditor qualification.
  • Strong communication skills across all mediums.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • A proactive, problem-solving approach with a hands-on attitude.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to travel up to 40% to various training business sites.
