TeacherActive is thrilled to be working with a wonderful Primary School in Grays, helping them find a passionate and reliable Cover Supervisor for morning shifts, five days a week. The role involves covering all year groups, providing essential support when teachers are absent.

The school is known for its warm and inclusive atmosphere, with a dedicated staff focused on the academic and personal growth of every student. The Cover Supervisor will be a key figure in ensuring that classes run smoothly, fostering a safe and productive environment for pupils to thrive.

This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals who enjoy working in education but prefer a morning-only schedule.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise classes across all year groups in the absence of the class teacher.
Follow lesson plans and ensure pupils remain on task.
Manage classroom behavior effectively, ensuring a positive and focused learning environment.
Support students in their learning, providing assistance as needed.
Foster a supportive and engaging atmosphere for all students, including those with additional needs.
Report on pupil progress and behavior during your sessions to the appropriate staff.

The ideal candidate will have:

Experience working with children in a primary school setting.
Strong classroom management skills and the ability to keep pupils engaged.
A proactive, adaptable approach to working with children of all ages.
A positive attitude and a passion for helping children achieve their potential.
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
