Introduction
We are thrilled to be working with leading distribution company based in North Walsham. They are a close-knit group, and they are looking for a new Procurement & Ledger Controller to support their team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage procurement activities in line with a monthly budget
- Update and maintain purchase orders
- Monitor and optimize stock levels to ensure value and availability
- Track stock due dates and communicate with suppliers as needed
- Update order dates in our IT system when required
- Reconcile supplier delivery notes and invoices
- Enter purchase invoices into our accounting system
- Resolve supplier delivery discrepancies
- Arrange for supplier returns when necessary
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers
- Communicate any delivery delays to the Customer Services Team
- Provide support to the Customer Services Department during busy periods and holiday cover, including handling incoming orders, emails, and phone calls
Desirable Skills and Abilities:
- Proficiency in financial systems such as Sage or SAP.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Experience in supply chain logistics and finance.
- Excellent time management skills.
Benefits:
- Salary: £25,000 - £30,000
- 25 days holiday - 5 days reserved for Christmas shutdown.
