Reed Finance is proud to be working in partnership with a local business within the public sector space to recruit a technical and dynamic Financial Controller.
Working closely with the Finance Director and wider business functions, you will play a crucial role in providing financial insights, analytics and leadership.
Duties Include:
- Oversee day-to-day financial operations for a busy organisation and commercial enterprises.
- Line managing small team staff members and supporting their engagement with stakeholders.
- Produce regular management reports, including statutory and monthly management accounts.
- Updating monthly finance dashboards.
- Planning and delivering the annual Business Planning & Budget process.
- Assist with year-end close down processes.
- Assist in the production of year-end group accounts.
Requirements:
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
- Previous experience in Finance Leadership
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in financial software and MS Office
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.

Salary and benefits:
The role of Financial Controller is £52,000pa plus annual discretionary bonuses, flexible working and fantastic benefits including 30 days annual leave plus Bank Holidays.
