The Role:

We are seeking an experienced and qualified Interim Financial Accountant to support this finance team in ensuring compliance across key statutory and regulatory areas. This interim position requires a confident pair of hands, able to manage critical compliance responsibilities, including preparing statutory accounts, facilitating audits, and ensuring adherence to IFRS and Sarbanes-Oxley regulations.

What you'll do:

  • Preparation of statutory accounts under IFRS for multiple entities, including UK and Ireland operations.
  • Facilitation of the annual external audit process, liaising with auditors and internal teams.
  • Conduct quarterly Sarbanes-Oxley testing and implement necessary improvements.
  • Collate and support the completion of tax returns for Group companies.
  • Oversee VAT returns and maintain control over balance sheets.
  • Liaise with insurers and handle claims related to annual renewals.
  • Ensure compliance with all financial reporting obligations, including group reporting and external submissions.

What you'll bring:

  • MUST be ACA / ACCA qualified with a background in accounting practice.
  • Proven experience in preparing IFRS statutory accounts and a strong understanding of Sarbanes-Oxley.
  • Excellent knowledge of balance sheet management, VAT accounting, and general tax practices.
  • Strong IT skills, including advanced Excel proficiency; Oracle experience is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong time management and organisational skills with the ability to work under pressure.
