Our client based in Northampton is looking for an immediately available Management Accoutnant to join their team on an initial 6 month interim assignment. The individual will providing financial guidance, support strategic planning, and drive process improvements across the business.

Key responsibilities:

  • Prepare accurate and timely monthly management accounts, including variance analysis and commentary.
  • Support the preparation of budgets and forecasts, working closely with department heads to ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Manage the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and internal policies.
  • Provide detailed financial analysis to support decision-making across the business.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of financial controls and processes to improve efficiency and accuracy.
  • Prepare and present financial reports to senior management, highlighting key insights and recommendations.
  • Oversee the reconciliation of balance sheet accounts and ensure the accuracy of financial data.
  • Support ad-hoc financial projects and initiatives as required.

The person:

  • Must be immediately available or on short notice
  • Qualified Accountant or QBE
  • Experience in a similar role
  • Detail-oriented with strong organisational and time-management skills
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and other office software
  • Ability to multi task and prioritise tasks effectively
  • Pro-active attitude and ability to work as a member team
