Job Title: Management Accountant

The Accountancy and Finance Division at The ONE Group is exclusively partnering with a global leading manufacturing business with a strong market presence and reputation world-wide in seeking an experienced Management Accountant. This is a great opportunity to join a global business who have an upwards trajectory to growth. Reporting into the Finance Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting while supporting business performance through data-driven insights. This role combines technical accounting expertise with business partnering to drive financial and operational success.
As the Management Accountant, you will be responsible for:
- Ensuring adherence to UK GAAP and IFRS standards
- Supporting audit processes and compliance reviews
- Performing balance sheet and bank reconciliations to deadlines
- Reconciling intercompany cash pooling transactions
- Managing month-end processes
- Posting month-end journals, including cost reallocation, prepayments, and depreciation
- Creating and maintaining accounting records
- Posting intercompany invoices and monitor suspense accounts
- Prepare VAT returns and corporate tax calculations for submission.
- Generate reports on revenue and COGS
- Other ad hoc duties to support the finance team during busy periods and as required by the Finance Controller
As the Management Accountant, you must demonstrate the following skills and attributes:
- Professional accounting qualification (CIMA/ACCA/ACA or equivalent) or part-qualified with relevant experience.
- Proven experience in management accounting and moth-end process
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to meet tight deadlines
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and collaborate with various stakeholders
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel
