We are working with a well-established business based in Northampton who is seeking a talented Management Accountant to join their growing finance team. The ideal candidate will be someone with a strong analytical mindset, excellent financial reporting skills, and the ability to support decision-making processes within the business.
As the Management Accountant, you will play a key role in managing the financial health of the company by preparing and presenting timely and accurate management accounts, ensuring compliance with internal controls, and providing insightful financial analysis to senior stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare monthly management accounts, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Provide variance analysis and performance reports to help guide business decisions.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
- Analyse financial trends and highlight key insights to senior management.
- Ensure compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and relevant legislation.
- Support with year-end audits and liaise with external auditors as required.
- Manage and streamline financial processes to improve efficiency.
Key Requirements:
- ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified or QBE
- Previous experience in a management accounting role, ideally within a manufacturing or fast-paced environment.
- Strong Excel skills and proficiency in financial software
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
