We’re excited to be working with a top-tier, forward-thinking accountancy firm on a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious Personal Tax Assistant to join their growing team in Northamptonshire.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Support the preparation of personal tax returns for a wide variety of clients, including high-net-worth individuals, company directors, and sole traders.
  • Assist with tax compliance, ensuring timely and accurate submissions to HMRC.
  • Liaise with clients to gather information, resolve queries, and build relationships.
  • Help identify planning opportunities and flag relevant changes in legislation.
  • Maintain accurate client records and work within tight deadlines during busy periods.
  • Support senior members of the tax team and collaborate across departments.

What we’re looking for:

  • Studying towards your ATT/CTA (or interested in beginning your tax qualifications).
  • Ideally 1-2 years’ experience in a personal tax or mixed tax role within practice.
  • A genuine interest in tax and a desire to develop your expertise in this area.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
  • A proactive, can-do attitude and willingness to learn.
