Debbie Burbage Recruitment is proud to partner with our Northampton based client, in their search for a Part Time Purchase Ledger Clerk to work 15 hours a week over a minimum of 3 days. This is an exciting opportunity for a diligent and detail-oriented individual.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Code up purchase invoices and post to purchase ledger, ensuring adequate authorisation
  • Posting to project costs
  • Posting payments allocations on the purchase ledger
  • Propose purchase ledger payment runs and agree schedule of payments
  • Reconcile supplier statements
  • Run full month-end procedures on purchase ledger
  • BACS payments
  • Setting up direct debits & standing orders
  • Setting up new supplier accounts
  • Maintain accurate manual and computerised records as appropriate
  • Undertake checking and reconciliation under the direction of the Finance Director
  • Be prepared to help out with Administration tasks and cover holidays

The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Have previous experience working in a purchase ledger or accounts payable role
  • Be proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
  • Demonstrate excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills
  • Be proactive, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Possess strong communication skills and a problem-solving mindset

Opportunity:

We are seeking a candidate with experience in purchase ledger, preferably familiar with Pegasus Opera software but not essential, who demonstrates excellent telephone communication skills and can effectively prioritise and organise their workload.   • Salary £25,000 - £27,000 per annum depending on experience
  • Part Time 15 hours a week over a minimum 3 days with flexibility to cover holidays would be an advantage with potential to increase hours in the future.
